Stitch

We got home from the Riverhouse Sunday midday.
That afternoon we decided to take the kids to the little park in the front
of our neighborhood just so we could get out of the house.
They weren't interested in playing on the playground instead they wanted
to play in the tennis court with a few of our neighbor friends who were already there.
We were there for a cool 5 min when all the sudden we hear Lucie screaming.
We look over to see her sprawled out on her back having a fit.
I thought she was just being clumsy, well because she's a clumsy girl.
Jared went over to her picked her up and I could see by his expression that it was bad.

Apparently she was running full speed and ran right into
the tennis net crank that was sticking out.
It laid her out flat and split her eye lid right open!
Boy are we LUCKY the crank wasn't a half in inch lower 'cause
our baby girl would be blind in one eye!
The cut goes all the way across the eyelid.
One stitch in the corner and super glued across the lid.
Here are the pics from the morning after.

Poor baby Rocky!
Should make for interesting family pictures which we are taking this Saturday!
It is what it is...

Poor little Luce. Her and Ben are twinners now! Just make sure to put sunscreen on it when it's all healed so the scar doesn't get worse as the sunshine can do that. Give that precious baby kisses for me!

Boy is this the year of the "nasty facial scars". Our family has certainly gotten their share. Maybe a scar scrapbook is in order.
